Social Contribution Activities
At Jidaimura Co., Ltd., we draw on the wisdom of the Edo period as a model for sustainable living. Our efforts focus on preserving Japan's traditional culture, supporting local communities, and fostering a sustainable future through environmental conservation, educational initiatives, and cultural exchange.
Supporting Traditional Culture
We proudly support the Ogasawara-ryu school, which has a history of 850 years. This school has deep ties to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, where Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined, and conducts traditional archery ceremonies twice a year.
At EDO WONDERLAND, we offer various Ogasawara-ryu experiences, allowing visitors to engage with authentic traditional culture. We have also established a Nikko branch of the Ogasawara-ryu school near Nikko Toshogu Shrine and plan to expand our activities further.
Well-Being Services
Through our Edo Wonder Welfare initiative, we operate daycare centers and senior homes to enhance the quality of life for the elderly. We provide opportunities for work and hobbies, fostering communities where seniors can find joy and purpose. Additionally, we offer health and relaxation services through our medicinal open-air baths and therapeutic hot spring facilities.
Agriculture and Satoyama Conservation
As part of Edo Wonder Farm, we are reviving and modernizing the agricultural practices and satoyama lifestyle of the Edo period. Through the Yakka Paradise Project, we cultivate Edo-period vegetables and medicinal herbs, promoting organic food culture.
Sustainable Tourism Initiatives
Jidaimura Co., Ltd. is committed to sustainable tourism through hydrogen-powered projects. We provide hydrogen stations and rental cars to support carbon neutrality. By offering eco-friendly travel options, we aim to create a better future for the next generation.
